Hazardous Waste

Hazardous material is waste that is classified as Dangerous Goods.

These are usually toxic, flammable, corrosive, or reactive items. Many are identified already with pre classification stickers.

Special Waste

Special waste are materials that pose a specific health, safety or environmental risk to the public.

Due to their potential harm, special waste often have specific transport, treatment, storage, disposal requirements.
